This blog is not primarily financially driven (but still profit driven). The team at VenturedOut put it up some years ago to build a community and to share what we learned from smart people. Regardless, beginning December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.
Per the FTC rules, if I recommend anything on this website and I earn a commission, I would need to disclose this. If I use an Amazon link that gets me $25 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me 0 cents. If someone gives me a comfy t-shirt with a logo and I upload a photo with it, same deal. Disclaimers all over the place. This is really tedious for the readers but rules is rules. I am not a lawyer and I hate the legalese language attached to disclaimers so I’m going to try to make it more simple.
To cover my ass and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every link and product I use are affiliate links that I will receive compensation from.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact me by using the contact page. It can be accessed on the menu above.
